Default 1952 Topps Sain/Page Pricing Question

Hi. My first time over here on this side, so greetings. My father would like to know some info on this card he has please. It is the black back, Joe Page bio error and it is signed by Sain in blue ink. The questions are: what would the consensus be on a value, should he have it graded (auto only or card also & which service) and lastly what would be the best venue to offer such a card for sale. Any help regarding this rarity would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tony

Default Since the card is signed

I'd send the card to BVG/JSA for the combo.

Rich

Default Sain/Page Error Card & Auto

Rich:

Just curious here. Why not send this to PSA/DNA for the comobo grading cert there? Since this will be a duo grade (grade & certification on the auto), does this mean it likely won't be as appealing to the registry collectors?

Just trying to figure out the nuances in grading and certification between the different companies. Thanks Rich!

Default Mitch

Since the card is signed; the autograph now takes some priority (because frankly, the value of the card is now somewhat diminished) and since Spence is probably #1 in the autograph field, that would be who I would go with.

Obviously, if your prefer the PSA combo that is fine; but I'm not sure that they can grade both aspects of your card the way BVG/JSA Can with a card grade AND an autograph grade.

Regards
Rich
