But, knowing better this "Monster" of all BB card sets, I could be wrong. Therefore, if any of you can confirm any of the listed
NO PRINT's with Sovereign backs....PLEASE post them here, or if you are a "reader", please email me.

Thank you,

To generate a checklist of 404 cards was impractical, so I took the shortcut path and typed out this list.....of NO Sovereign cards.
I hope this is satisfactory to you. Several others that requested this information were pleased with it in this form.

I see you are looking for Sovereign backed cards.....I have some extras, email me.....

Ted,

Thanks for this list. It is a significant contribution to the T206 knowledge base.

Do you have any idea which of the 150/350 subjects are available with Sovereign 350?

That would seem to be the final element of the "Master" Sovereign checklist.

Default T206 Master Sovereign Set.....No Print checklist

Posted By: Gilbert Maines

Well Ted, as a collector who has not yet gotten his feet wet in the monster pool, I will admit that 404 cards seem somewhat less monsterous. And not having to chase after increasingly costly back variations is a tremendous help. But I've got to think that even further refinement could make this task into a cute little baby monster.

For example, one could collect just the 460 super prints (is there such a thing?). That would be way less cards. Way less. But they are costly cards. So, preferentially search for them under sgc 10. And even if one was to go with this entire cute little monster and include the 350 superprints as well, there would still be way less than 200 cards involved. Right? Does this make any sense? Are there better options to make the t206 task less daunting?

Gentlemen: thank you for listening to an aspiring novice, sorry for interrupting.

I'm not quite sure I fully understand what you are asking; anyhow, the greatness of collecting this "monster"
is the numerous variety of ways in which you can choose to do it. Team sets, T-brands, Tinker-Evers-Chance,
or Total set of 524 cards. You have almost an infinite number of options, so choose your adventure ?

Can you be more specific ?

Certainly I can be more specific, and I will try to throw in a little clarity too.
I don't collect t206s because they are off-focus for my collection's thrust, and they require too much effort. If I could design a less consuming way to go about collecting these, it could be a fun diversion. The super prints were cited because they typify a reduction in the number of cards targeted, which is good. But they do it by incurring significant cost since the six players who comprise that set are among the issue's more expensive ones.

Obviously, I could collect by color. No orange - to eliminate Wagner. No red, green, or yellow to get Cobb's cost out. That leaves what? Blue I guess. The t206 blue set!

Maybe this is just not for me. I can always go back to the avian set.

I think the blue background T 206's are the nicest oif all the solid color backgrounds in that set. Just my 2 cents.

GIL

You have to do Blue....if I recall, your eyes are blue....so, those are the T206's you will enjoy collecting.
Here are a few of my Blue background T206's. Chase is one of my all-time favorites in this set. I am not
suggesting that you go "wacko" like I have, with all the T-brands in this scan. But, consider this.....the
350 Series is really the only one in the set that has the deep blue cards in it.

Waddell is the only deep Blue card of the 156 cards in the 150 Series. And, the Chase with Trophy and
one of your Giants (Murray) are the only deep Blue cards in the 460 Series. Therefore, you only have to
collect these cards in the 350 Series. Besides the Chase cards, you have the "infamous" Joe Doyle card,
Speaker, several common Major and Minor Leaguers; and, most expensive one is a NY Giant, Mathewson
wearing a Dark cap.

I highly recommend this mission for you.....and, if you decide to do it.....I'll furnish a Checklist of all the
cards you need.

I admit this option is attractive, simple, contains some nice cards, and a bit compelling.
But, since I posted it, I've been thinking, like the panther: pink!
With this, I don't have to stop with t206, but can include e-cards and others. Pink may be a sufficiently uncommon background that a guy could put together a complete set of all pink background cards.
This is one of the things which I enjoy in this hobby. Researching options to determine the correct path to follow.

And yes Ted, my eyes are deep blue. And the cards which you have shown are striking.

Thank you.

Great to hear that you're coming on board, Gil!
The Hal Chase pink portrait would be a beautiful beginning---and you could keep the Hal Chase blue portrait on the side just for the sake of the ole blue eyes.

all the best,
barry

You know Barry, you are correct!
Whilst at first we (of the Only Group) were thinking to choose one path, not both; our superior upbringing, and as a (Dusty) Rhodes skalla, having attended the 1921 E253 class of Oxford (Confectionary) realize that we deserve both!
So we hearby drop the gauntlet and embark on said quest, with a light heart, knowing full well that the ensuing excellent adventure may even rival that of Bill and Ted.
Perhaps we could term it Gil and Ted's Most Excellent Adventure!
But that would overlook all of the help which I am going to need from each of you!

If it is a real deep blue like the to Chase above, well that would be quite a walk.

Just another option.....

Is it a pink background if half of it is green? I guess that is a personal decision.
But how would you view it? Im thinking all pink only.
But Sheckard would qualify.

Then again, I just noticed that the Chase with cup is half green.
I guess that green contrasts more sharply with pink.

OK, GIL.....if you are having some 2nd thoughts regarding my T206 PINK suggestion, then I'll offer you another
option. Sounds like you want more of a challenge, then try the Pink background E-type cards. They are strictly
PINK. No mix of colors in their backgrounds.

Here are two examples....E90-1 Keeler (ended his career as a NY Giant); and, an E92 of your buddy.....McGraw
in shocking PINK

Ted, I am not having a problem with your recommendations at all.
If anything, I am customizing the options to fit my preferences,
(which I am developing as we go). I simply offer the notation that
the green field is way more obvious on the pink cards than on those
of deep blue. But evenso, there are at least 5 t206 pink cards in
the preferred group. And certainly the Keeler and McGraw were in the
back of my mind when I envisioned this, and for some reason, so was
a '58 Bunning - is that one pink, or has my faulty memory hiccupped
again.
But as far as more challenging, I was thinking more along the Dockman
lines than the Crofts. Does anybody really still care about backs?

Edited to add: I just checked the '58 Bunning, and it is still pink.

I don't really expect this link to work, but there is a Chase throwing on ebay which looks like a pretty deep blue. Do these cards vary in color intensity?
