Default Golf "Hole In One" thread

My 68 year old uncle scored a "hole in one" yesterday.

Have you ever hit one? Do you have any good "hole in one" stories that you can share?

Interesting facts :

Making a hole in one is undoubtedly difficult. In fact, the odds are stacked 3,000 to 1 for a tour player making a hole in one, while the odds of an average player making a hole in one jump to 12,000 to 1. Even more, one player making two holes in one in the same round boasts a 67 million to 1 chance.

The record for most holes in one on the PGA tour is 10, which is shared by Robert Allenby and Hal Sutton. Phil Mickelson has recorded five hole in ones. Tiger Woods has 3 in his PGA career.

I do not have a hole in one , but I made a double eagle ( or an albatross if you prefer) on a par 5 in our golf league one night. It was my first hole of the night.

I currently have 5 hole in ones.
The coolest story i can tell about a hole in one is playing with my son last summer, the ball flight is directly at the pin. Everyone in the foursome is saying that has got to be close. The green is elevated so we can't see the bottom of the flag stick. Everyone in the group hit the green with their tee shot. I was the first the reach the green and saw 3 balls on the putting surface. I walk to the hole and sure enough there is a ball in the cup. I immediately turn to my son and give a big hug and congratulate him on his first hole in one.

3 hole in ones and two hole outs from the fairway, about 110 yards. Both from the fairway were on the same hole ,same course and virtually the same spot. That was neat.

1 in my life. October 13th, Friday the 13th. 190 yards downhill into the sun. Leaves were on the green. Knew it was a good shot. Walked onto the green and couldn't find my ball. Looked in the cup and there it was. Never had the thrill of watching go in.
I've witnesses 3 others.

Personally never made one, but if you haven't seen this one you should.

I'm 80, been playing a long time, but have never had the thrill of one going into the cup! Have played w/ 2 friends who each got one. Maybe this coming year is my turn??

Default 17000000 to 1

I have made two aces, but more remarkably was in a foursome once, in which two of us holed out from roughly 170 yards on the same hole.

The path of the two balls on the green was identical. Yogi was not there, but it was clearly a case of deja vu all over again.

Default Golf Hole in One Thread

I have two hole-in-ones, 34 days apart. They were on different golf courses but both were on the 16th hole.
