Default fixing scratched slabs

I don't know if this will help anyone, but I saw this while searching eBay for an old coin.

SLAB-RENEW scratch remover.

Surely folks who like graded cards would think nothing would be wrong with improving the surface of a slab. It isn't like soaking...

I don't know frank....

I think one day the slabs (that hold cards) will be graded and slabbed. A slab within a slab.

For the integrity of our hobby - I sure hope that nobody alters their slabs.

This stuff works wonders with a little elbow grease. I use it on my Boat, mostly the Eisenglass . I have used it on slabs it will clean them up nice, unless it's a deep gash ....goodluck. I have been able to remove stains from cold Beverages left..thanks to the Kids on a Slab... a faded circle.

Good Stuff........

Paul, Rob,

Why the nonresponsive posts about old stuff??? I've never dug up old stuff as a response to any of your posts.

Oh well, fine with me if it makes you feel good about yourselves. You can blast away at this...

Frank.

Already been done Joe. Even an armpit collector can be a backbone one if the slab is graded higher than the card!

Come to think of it, maybe encasing Steve Garvey in a GAI slab would be an effective way to keep him from getting more women pregnant.

From the great 1980's movie Mask :

"Who the hell is Rubie Walker?...What you need is a Steve Garvey!"

Edited to add: A signed slab might be the tackiest autograph-related collectible out there. They're right up there with the oversized novelty boxing/baseball gloves signed by 126 nobodies, or those pink baseball bats! To each their own.

For the record the Garvey is not mine, it belongs to another board contributer. And I am quite sure he had the slab signed and slabbed as a joke. He can chime in and 'fess up if he wants.

I've actually seen some collectors pay big name players $200 at a show to sign a slab !!! I mean, why not crack and resubmit, or just get the player to sign a premium item instead? There are things that will remain a mystery.
