Beautiful cards, thanks for posting. I've only been at it a couple of years but IME Orange (there's only one of each although there's rumored to be two Cobbs) > Purple > Gold/Green/Blue > Red/Olive. I lump them together because as Pete mentioned once you start moving up in grade there are specific player/color combinations that are more difficult. It also depends on how many collectors are in the E94 market at the time, plus you just don't see examples come up that often, the last substantial offering was John Esches collection last year.

It only now dawned on me that "Hughie" Jennings is full "Eee-Yah" in his card. Way cool!

Default Doolan run

Received the E97 BW today from Bill Kasel to finish off this run. I sprinkled in the E97s and an M131 along the way.

It wasn't a rumor on the 2 cobbs. I saw a 7 and an 8.....both in PSA holders if I recall. I couldn't believe it either. Tony Arnold showed them to me. Definitely 2 very high end orange cobbs, at least.

Default Bescher

Bumping this thread on my favorite set to show my Bescher run with the M131 also and a few dupes. I’m building a binder set also and have plenty to trade if anyone is interested.

Haven't posted this one in a while but here's my "silverback" Doolan.

e94Doolan.jpg

Still haven't seen any others with this color of background. I imagine it was originally cut off a sheet with other cards, perhaps that also have different colored backgrounds?

From an oddity standpoint, I think I also have a Bates around here somewhere with some oversized borders that was handcut. I've owned a blue Speaker with a ghost on the reverse and a red Byrne with an upside down back. So a few neat goofs came out of this set for sure.

Question on the Oranges - was it ever confirmed that there are more than one of any of the players in this color? Or is the thinking that these were still cut off the same sheet?

Nothing special, but my 2 examples. I find these alongside a red E98 Hippo Vaughn at a card store in Cooperstown, NY that apparently thought they were common T206's and priced accordingly when I was ~12. My Dad bought me all 3 and made my year.

I should pick up a type of the other background colors at some point.

It'd be interesting to see how close we could get to an Orange Set with members posting here.

With 22 confirmed, my guess would be around 12/15 examples owned on the board? Would be neat to see, we know both Cobbs are tucked away in a private collection, not sure if he’s a board member.

Steve, awesome seeing all your Bescher’s & Doolan’s laid out. Brian, definitely two Orange Cobb’s, a PSA 7 & PSA 8. Here’s another to the thread.

For some sets I just feel fortunate enough to be able to share a card on here (I did previously post the mystery McGraw, but I don't really count that one as an E94), so here is my nicely off-center Murray.

Incredible group of cards. Old Joe Lake is the only Cardinal in the set….and the man NEVER played for the Cardinals!

Nor signed with them. They made an uncorrected oopsie on this one. Lake may have been a mediocre pitcher but he got some great looking cards. I'm grateful they included a few commons

The E94 Wags has been on my premier want list (I have several) for what seems like forever. As many know, the E94 is the half body Honus while the E95 shows him in the full body batting pose, which fortunately I do hold in my PC. I think the E95 is the equal of E94 and shares the same popularity among collectors.
Can anyone advise if the E98 pre-Black Swamp Honus orange is as tough as the E94?

I've seen more E94 Wagner's available than I have Orange E98 Wagner's. It's a tough card in both Orange and Blue.
