Default Major MLB Awards

What team has won the big 3 awards the most times? Cy Young, MVP and ROY. It's a runaway too, with second place 8 behind the total of the leader.

I'd have to guess the Dodgers, just based on the number of ROY and Cy Youngs that came from that team during my lifetime.

12 Cy Young
14 MVP
18 ROY

Okay...now, let's see how quick they can name ALL 80:

No research for this 'challenge'...I will drop off and make my list- then come back and see how many everyone else came up with.

Well as a Dodger fan I have an advantage.

MVP -

I didn't bother to check and see if this goes back to 1911 or just the modern MVP's

Jake Daubert
Dazzy Vance
Campy 3x
Jackie
Newcombe
Koufax
Wills
Garvey
Gibson
Kershaw
Bellinger

So I'm missing either 1 or 3 there

CY Young

Newcombe
Koufax 3x
Valenzuela
Hershiser
Kershaw 3x
Gagne

Missing 2 there

ROY
Jackie
Newcombe (is he still the only guy to have all 3?)
Black
Howard
Lefebvre
Sizemore
Sutcliffe
Howe
Valenzuela
Sax
Karros
Piazza
Mondesi
Nomo
Hollandsworth
Bellinger
Seager

Missing 1 there

Yankees -

MVP

(going to be some guesses here)
Ruth
Gehrig
DiMaggio 2x?
Berra 3x
Rizzuto
Mantle 3x?
Maris 2x
Howard
Mattingly

Cy Young
Ford
Guidry

ROY

um...

Munson
Righetti
Jeter
Judge

Well, I'm assuming it's 80 total awards...

I could only come up with 26 different players who won any of the three major awards while playing for either the Yankees or the Dodgers.

Then, searching for the rest, I found 26 more...very surprised at some I forgot.

So, as far as I can tell, the 80 awards were won by 52 different players.

Who wants to play?..How many can you remember?...without researching of course...honor system in place.

Scott- after seeing your response...I see a few that I missed: Vance, Wills, Gagne, Sizamore & Judge (good grief) - so that should bring the total players to 56.

You missed Dolph Camilli as a Dodger MVP, Drysdale & Dr. Iron Mike Marshall as Dodger CYs; Sparky Lyle, Clemens and Turley at NYY CYs, and Bahnsen, Tresh and Bob Grim as a ROYs and Joe Gordon as MVP (Ted's)
