Ahhh. optimism. It was the choice of a mortgage or cards. Cards won.

What gets me is the $4.95 shipping charge. That moves the card out of my budget comfort zone.

A card from Tony only a truly obsessive HOF RC collector could love:

"We sell cards that start at 99 cents and go up to $50,000 on Ebay."

Guess they need to update their information.

Tony is a good hobby friend and someone I always spend some time with at the National. He will work with you on prices most times (this E300 is about 55k out of my range )

He will also listen to trades. I traded him an E105 Wagner in lower condition for this one.....several years ago..

Default Is this the same image as the Plow's Candy Card

I have been told it is the same image as page 31 in the book Baseball in the Big Leagues by Johnnie Evers. It is a Sy Seidman photo.

Top-notch seller--bought my 1907 Dietsch Fielding Pose Cobb rookie from him sometime back on an installment basis. Personally, although the Plows Candy is an extremely tough card, I'd prefer the rookie fielding pose (wonder what that card would fetch in a major auction?).

Happy Collecting,

Larry

Sy Seidman wouldn't have been the actual photographer. He was a 1940's++ photographer who somehow got the "rights" to several older images. All images I have seen with a Seidman credit come from the Culver archives. You find all sorts of Bain and Gilliams Press syndicate photos from pre 1910 with the photographers name blocked out and "Credit Sy Seidman" handwritten on the back when in reality he probably was not even born when the image was taken.

In your comment about Levi and his crew your only comment was overpriced, You seem to pull up a lot of items which you comment about because of pricing. Are you only looking for bargains? Just curious.

No, just have a small budget. Determined collector with the motto "If I like it and I can afford it, I buy it." This is not denial.

That said-and this should be in the thread about 707-Levi is overpriced. A graded VG Voskamp for over $1400.00? C'mon.

Thank you,

Brian
