Default Your Favorite Thread Of 2022

There were MANY great threads for 2022, but this one which actually began in 2021 and picked up again in 2022 gets my vote. If you can remember and find it again, which thread is your favorite one from last year?

Default Great threads

That’s a great thread James! I loved looking through those cards as well.

I think there have been two threads of a similar vein talking about baseball card books and they both have been awesome. I’ll credit the first, as I picked up the Celebrant and Glory of their times from n54 recommendations. Absolutely loved them!

So many great threads

But I agree Ryan’s E107 thread would be tough to beat

If we were to learn that Ryan is going to put his incredible E107 collection on display at the upcoming Net54 get-together in No. Va. on February 18th, this alone would be worth the price of admission (which is FREE!) and I suspect would double the attendance!

If Ryan's collection thread is deemed the winner, can we get Leon to sanction it as such?

It will be hard to beat, but there were other threads...keep them coming!

I'm having trouble finding it, but do y'all remember that one about how terrible third-party grading companies are?

Thanks for pointing out that thread, James. Back in 2021, I woke up one morning and tried to create the most inclusive thread I could think of.

Most of my threads are very narrow subjects where I am seeking information, like, "Did Fisk use this Lynn bat with 27 written on the knob?", and someone will pop up and say, "That's not my pawpaw's handwriting.", and I say, "maybe the clubhouse guy wrote it.", and then the thread races to page 2 and beyond.

It had a good run in 2021, and then JohnH revived it for an even longer run in 2022. Lot's of nice contributions on the thread.

My favorite thread was a bst post that turned into a T213 discussion, where Pat found a newspaper article about Sweeney with Richmond.

WOW! I just clicked onto this thread for the first time. Thanks all. Val, maybe I can bring it to the trade party, but they are all slabbed now and much heavier and cumbersome to lug around.

As far as best threads- I think there was one about Jamie’s red Cobb back run and the one I started linking Sonny’s amazing t206 rare set. Her is the link to Sonny’s set thread https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=323924

Agreed. Sonny’s set is nothing short of jaw dropping amazing. And he is always upgrading. In my opinion, it’s the best version of any set around
