Default W515-1 Cropping Variations?

Not too familiar with this issue - are cropping variations common to this issue and checklisted anywhere? I was looking at picking up a Maranville and spotted two variations - a tight crop with less raised hand showing and a wider crop with more outstreached hand, smaller overall body size. Is this a verified variation, and are their examples of other players with cropping variations?

Close Crop - Shorter Outstretched Arm

Wide Crop - Longer Outstretched Arm

Thanks for any help!

Actually, I'm guessing now the wide crop card is actually a W515-2 in a mislabeled holder. Anyone have a -1 and -2 of same player that demonstrates cropping differences in the player image?

I collect the W515-2s -- and the mis-labeling is quite common. I actually need Maranville, so I'm probably not much help here. The -2s are a bit larger, and so I would say the second one is undoubtedly a mislabeled one.

I needed McGraw recently. Someone was selling a raw W515-1 McGraw on ebay, but I could tell it was a -2 just by looking at the margins. Bought it and when I compared it to my other -2s, it was spot on.

It's a tough set to complete. I'm about 7 cards short, but fortunately have the two Ruths and the Cobb.

The responses here are correct. The second scan is a W515-2 of which I have a completed set...
