Default Simpler times- M & Ms Joe Dimaggio Sports Club card, circa 1940s

Simpler times- M & Ms Joe Dimaggio Sports Club card, circa 1940s....Number 7 is kind of ironic since this is sponsored by a candy company.

Back in the day, candy was considered a good food. It provided plenty of energy.
In today's time, you substitute it w/ turnips & wheat germ

I hear ya' Dave. Coincidentally, concerning exercise, I am going to play a softball doubleheader tonight after being out for 2 weeks with a foot injury, plantar fasciitis. I hope I don't re-injure it. I told my wife this could be my last game of the year it it gets messed up again. I sure hope not. It's super frustrating being hurt....

Some Google research...

Seems the Joe Dimaggio Sports Club aired on the radio in the early 1950s. The card and a ring were premiums given away in by M&Ms around the same time.
