Default A different kind of baseball trivia post

Do NOT answer the actual question please. Again, do NOT answer. The point is to see how many people know their baseball. Here are seven pitchers with great longevity who were journeymen towards the end. Do you know the LAST team they pitched for? Listed in order of probable difficulty: Greg Maddux, Steve Carlton, Goose Gossage, Gaylord Perry, Hoyt Wilhelm, Jamie Moyer, Curt Simmons. How many do you know without looking up?

I only knew Carlton and Moyer. Only because I followed them when they left the Phillies.

I only know Maddux because he stuck around WAY TOO long to end up with one more win than the GOAT Roger Clemens. On a good note Greg did have a lot more losses so he does have that going for himself.

I only got Hoyt and Moyer - I'm fans of both. For Maddux, Carlton, and Simmons, I guessed their next-to-last team. Whiffed big on Perry and Gossage.

I thought I knew Gossage and Maddux but I missed their very last teams. They weren't with them for long...

I got two, Carlton and Wilhelm. Got Hoyt because I remembered the
'72 high number baseball card.

Anyone want to know how much money Jaime Moyer made in his career? $84M.

Thought I knew Gossage and was wrong, Had no idea to even guess on Simmons. Got the others. Being a fan of a certain team helped.

should have know Perry (I have a card)

surprised I didn't get Gossage. (I have a card, but not the last one)

forgot about Moyer.

Never would have gotten Simmons.

I got none of those, kudos to those who knew some. But I do know Red Ruffing and Chief Bender's last team.

Wow, got none of them.

Maddux, I forgot he spent his last season with two teams, so only got the team he started the season with.

Moyer, forgot he pitched in 2012, so I got his 2010 team right.

Wilhelm, Gossage and Carlton I was like 2 teams off.

Perry, I guessed his second to last team.

Simmons I had no clue.
