Default PSA certs - into 9 digits now

It’s been brewing for a while now, as it was just a matter of time until they got through to 9XXXXXXX series. But here we are, and apparently they’ve just added another digit.

I’ve got a few that are working through the grading process now and have been assigned cert numbers with 9 digits. And they recently updated the app to allow for 9 digit certs as well.

My guess is this should hold them over for a while, since it should allow for another 900 million certs.

We’ve come a long way since the trimmed and altered PSA 8 that started it all.

I believe 9 digits was required to allow for the possibility of nearly a billion complaints about the quality of service in the future.

Seemed to me that a lot of the 9-series 8 digit PSA grades were less strict than previous grading standards. Are these all new grades are a series of reholders? Or mixed in?
