New T206 Wagner Find - link to story
Posted By: Tony N.
As a followup to the previous post about the newly discovered T206 Honus Wagner, I found the story on the web, and posted the link, incase anyone wanted to read it. If they are so worried about sending it to a grading company, why not take it to a show, like the national, and have SGC grade it on site?? |

In the article an owner says "Something's worth what someone's willing to pay for it." |

I stopped reading after the first paragraph. If they thought it was real and wanted to cash in, there is absolutely no reason why they did not get the card slabbed. Thanks for posting, because I'm sure many people were interested. In all, those guys are a waste of time! |

New T206 Wagner Find - link to story

This article has prompted me to put my authentic Wagner out there as well. I have taken this card to a paper authenticator who did a spectral fibral gadget analysis, concluding that the paper was DEFINITELY manufactured before the year 2006. I also carbon dated a small sample, and concluded from that that the card was made AFTER the year 1203. As you can see, 1909 is right there in the middle, so this thing is definitely authentic. I keep it in tin foil except to scan it. Joe Orlando has offered to grade it, but I don't want the card risking getting hurt (look at those corners, they're pristine!). Anyway, I'll let it go for $500,000. |

Nice try Seth. But the wavy left edge is a clear sign of trimming. We didn't all just fall off of our various regional produce wagons, you know! |

Seth - come on man, you know board rules - put that thing on the b/s/t thread. Where's Leon when we need him? |

Bad news, Seth. It's a fake. Pittsburg is misspelled. Sorry, buddy. |
