c1838 ROWING SHEET MUSIC. DEDICATED TO NEW YORK BOAT CLUBS

I went to a paper show in San Francisco yesterday....made out pretty good! I got an incredible c1914 football broadside for a team I'd never heard of till yesterday. The Yosemites of San Francisco vs. The All Vallejos. The dealer had two HUGE scrap books that went with it full of tons of photos and newspaper clippings about the Yosemites. The broadside is very fragil and needs restoration and to be linen backed, but worth saving.

I also got a piece of sheet music dedicated to the New York Boat Clubs that has an illustration of an eight man crew team. I haven't researched it yet but believe it's one of the earliest American competitive rowing illustrations, as well as one of the earliest American sports illustrations.
