Default Heritage Pick ups

Anyone win anything good last night? a lot of good T206s were sold...

I picked up this maddox error in Heritage last night... it was a twin to the example I won over the summer.. interesting to see the slight differences between the 2 cards... the side by side picture is neat.. one on the left is from last night.. on the right is from August 6th 2020....

Jamie, awesome pick up. And as we discussed, I believe several sheets were stacked at the factory, and got torn together, hence the same card, same position...was fun, as always, to chat during closing night.

That orange Cobb is a nice example and very cool card. It garnered a strong price too.

Nice cards Jaime and Mike. BTW, does anyone know who outbid Ryan for the Chance Piedmont 42?

Default Got one

Had feelers for several card but ended up with just one - the Strang Broadleaf back. I'm happy with it. If you can only win one card, you could do worse than a Broadleaf!

Default Orange Cobb

I have long been surprised that there wasn't a much more significant premium for this card. It really does stand out as a nice complement to the Red Cobb. So what is the verdict? Is it a true printing error or just fading?

Thanks!

I don't see anything faded about this card, interesting that you see the red in the upper right corner that may have been the start of a second pass. The T206 experts here would know better than me.

Re: The "Orange" Cobb...If you zoom into the Heritage scans, a few of us discussed this last night, and we believe there was an album corner holding it down, hence why it's still red in that area...and the rest faded via ambient or direct sunlight over time.

Lol. I placed a high bid on the chance factory 42, mistaking it for the Carolina Brights, and thought I was going to win a card I did not need. I ended up getting outbid on the factory 42 and winning the Carolina Brights (for a lot of money). Crazy prices last night.

Great pick ups Jamie and Mike

Great cards everyone!

Cobb could be faded, as discussed if it was in a similar type holder to what Lionel Carter used to secure it, protecting part of the red under the mount. Just a theory.

I wanted to bid but everything I wanted went through the roof. That's the way it's going nowadays.

I got the Izzy Hoffman EPDG PSA 5. Much higher grade than I'd usually pay for, but it's not a card that comes up very often.

I managed a grand haul of one, the PB Sheckard.

The Heritage and REA auctions had almost 1,200 cards and ended a few days apart, but prices just seem to continue to accelerate.
