Default Card Collecting Software

Posted By: Wizard

Does anyone use card collecting software to manage their collection?

If so, which do you use/recommend?

Thanks for your answers.

(Sorry for the untitled post)

Default Card Collecting Software

Posted By: Jeff O

I tried a couple of different software programs in the past that we designed specifically for card collecting... but I always found them lacking in many ways and not easy to use.

I currently have all of my stuff inventoried/catalogued using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. They're easy to work with, and you can use them on just about any PC.

It's a lot of work the first time through, typing all of that info into spreadsheets. However, once you've got everything in there it's real easy to update your lists with new purchases.

Default Card Collecting Software

They have a free trial period. The software lets you design what info you want and how you want it to look.
mine looks like this, for example: (hope this link works)

You control appearance, color scheme, order of fields, etc. Best of all, it will import text and I belive excel files (if not, it's not tough to save excel files as text files and import them that way). Only downside I've encountered is that it performs sluggish (maybe my computer) when you get more than 20,000 entries.

The URL of the software page seems to lack something -- can you try repasting it again?

Thanks,

Tim
