I've wanted to grade one that's autographed for a long time, but the process seemed very complex and the wait time was something crazy like a year. So I never did. Is it better now?

That’s an incredible Williams piece. As far as turn times on signed magazines I’m not sure what the story is as of know. I plan on dropping off a couple at the National and we’ll see what happens.

From what I understand the autograph would be seen as a downgrade, being something was added to the magazine. I have some nice signed magazines, and am interested how this plays out in the future. If there is money to be made, they'll figure a way to do it. I'm just leaving mine in magazine sized top loaders.

CGC with the recent purchase of JSA will now be authenticating autographs and also will grade the auto as well. Not sure the magazine will be downgraded because of the signature on it ( at least that’s my understanding).

I think it would be funny if the magazine opinion sellers removed the pages of the magazines they sell their opinions on, replace them with dfferent old magazine pages, then sell the original pages on ebay. Maybe that would explain why the long wait time?

Default How CGC Handles Signatures

CGC will accept signatures on lower graded magazines but once you have a high grade book I have found they will qualify it. May have to send this back in since I sent it in right when they were announcing JSA.

Default Another signed book

Even though this one graded a 7 they didn’t seem to care about the signature.

I can't find any info if they are officially grading JSA sports Magazines. All I could find was JSA comics. Makes no sense.

On autographed mags, they are only grading the magazine, right? How do you know the autograph is real without submitting to an autograph company?
