Default Need Cedar Rapids (Bunnies? 1897?) roster relevant to 1898 Cameo Pepsin

Posted By: Don Fluckinger

Hi, gents, I have emailed Mr. Simeone on this but I thought I'd double dip here. Can anyone post or point me to a Cedar Rapids Roster that would have first names of the players in the Cameo Pepsin set? I have a bunch more...and the Catalog has first + last names but the pins have only last.

I can always google the major leaguers' names I need when people have new finds. This team, however, is a bear for my Google powers, such as they are.

So I know I will fire last names only into the manuscript and I'll get "need first names!" back to me, in our efforts to be complete as possible.

THanks for any help.

Don, I can do you one better, here is my master list of all Cameo Pepsin pins that I have documented over the years, the ones with teams listed after them have actually been seen by me. Those listed without teams, I personally have never seen but have been included on published checklists. Included in the list is the first names of most of the minor leaguers. There are quite a few on this list that are uncatalogued, including the recently discovered (through an ebay auction) of the Buffalo owner James Franklin.

I am 99% sure that the Jack Clements pin pictures him on the Phillies. I know I have seen the pin before and it is in my database (and wantlist) as a Phillie.
