Default Harvey Haddix 12 innings of perfection game ball 5/26/59

I haven't posted any recent pickups in a while, but I finally came up with one that I'm very excited about.

This is a ball from what many experts feel is the greatest game ever pitched.
On May 26, 1959 Pirates pitcher Harvey Haddix hurled 12 innings of perfection against the Milwaukee Braves, before finally becoming the hard luck loser 1-0 in the 13th inning.

On hand in Milwaukee to witness the event was AP Sports Editor and beat writer Dave O'Hara. O'Hara had a storied and amazing career with AP.
Do yourself a favor and take a minute to read his obit from 2013:

After the game, Haddix apparently gifted this game ball to Dave O'Hara and inscribed it accordingly. A great trophy from one of baseball's most memorable games. Perfect for my advanced no-hitter collection and a great complimentary piece for a Haddix PG mini-collection that I have been putting together through the years.

Enjoy!

I echo Rob's sentiments that the Harvey Haddix and Rockford Peaches finds are awesome! Love the unique one of a kind stuff!
