Default Trimmed m114 on ebay Beckett 4.5

Looks like buying an opinion from Beckett on trimmed m114s could go better for you than from other opinion sellers...

There are four versions of the 1946 Cardinals Team m114, I call this one #3, mine is the one that wouldn't fit in the opinion holder :

Grading is a scam. Bernie Madoff, Elizabeth Holmes and Sam Bankman Fried would all be proud.

Yes Given that M114's are 9.5x12 any M114 in an 8x10 Holder should be Authentic at best.
But I knew a collector that trimmed his down to fit in sheets. Large format Baseball cards have always struggled for respect.

Agreed, with a the possible exception of a few teams from the 1920s that I believe were issued in smaller sizes.

Also, while it is true that the vast majority of m114s are 9.5 X 12, there are about 33 of them that are 8 1/2 X 11. They came out in the last few years of the magazine and most (but not all) have a Washington DC caption.
