Pitcher for the 1957-59 White Sox, 1959 Reds, Cleveland 1962, and the Washington Senators 1962-64. He was only 37 years old when he died in a truck accident in 1968. $100.00 101) JOHN TENER cut signature from a document attached to a 3x5 index card. Played for the 1885 Baltimore Orioles, 1888-89 White Sox, and 1890 Pittsburgh he would later become Governor of Pennsylvania 1911-1915 but is best remembered as the 9th President of the National League serving in that capacity from 1913-1918. He died in 1946. $250.00 102) CHARLEY O'LEARY Bold fountain pen signature from album page. Played for the Tigers 1904-1912 and Cardinals 1913. In 1934 with the St. Louis Browns he became the oldest player to appear in a game, record a hit and score a run. He is best remembered as a long-time major league coach from 1913-1937 most notably for the New York Yankees from 1921-1927. He was a coach for the first Yankees World Championship team a coach for the fabled 1927 Yankees he is considered one of the toughest autographs of any member of that team. Pitcher for the Washington Senators 1927 and 1928 he died in 1960. $100.00 106) CHARLES "BOOTS" WEBER Signature from a document attached to a 3x5. FIRST General manager for the Chicago Cubs 1934-1950 he later became Vice President he died in 1966. $100.00 107) JIM "TINY" CHAPLIN cut signature from an album page signed in pencil. Played for 1928, 1930-31 Giants, and 1936 Boston Bees he died in an auto accident in 1939. $175.00 108) MIKE GONZALEZ 8x10 Display. A Rowe postcard photo of Gonzalez in Cardinals uniform has been matted above a portion of a lined album page signed boldly in pencil. A very nice combo. Cuban-born catcher who enjoyed a long successful career in the major leagues from 1912-1932 for the Braves, Cardinals, Reds, Giants, and Cubs. He would later manage the 1938 and 1940 Cardinals. A tougher autograph than his date of death would indicate. He is credited with having invented the knuckleball. He died in 1966. $75.00 114) HAL McKAIN full-page Wingler baseball questionnaire measures 8 1/2 x 11. Dated 1950. Unique in that McKain has signed his full legal name and then signed Hal McKain. Played for Cleveland in 1927 and White Sox 1929-32. $75.00 115) CLAUDE DAVIDSON full-page Wingler questionnaire measures 8 1/2 x 11 and comes with an original envelope dated 1952. Played for the Athletics 1918 and the Senators 1919. Played for the Tigers 1907-09, Senators 1909-10, Reds 1914-16, and Giants 1916. He was the FIRST batter ever at Wrigley Field.
