Picked up a couple of Hinchman, one bat wielding, to beef up the muscle in my criminal T206 Organization.

Jeff, how about the 1910 Washington Times Cobb. Any interest in that one??

Tony, Dan has assured me he is being buried with the card so at this point I simply hope to outlive him.

So 6ft of digging under a full moon finishes your Cobb oeuvre?

I figured he would never part with it.

I would have to think that’s definitely a 6 figure card if it ever went to auction, correct??

In the most recent LOTG auction, I picked up this 1889 cabinet photo of Pete Sweeney that was used for one of his N172 Old Judge cards (pose #451-4, name spelled incorrectly):

Sheesh! Can someone please find an E94 Horde ala BSF so us poor saps who collect the set don't have to sell a kidney any time we want to add to our collections?

Super happy to add these two and one of the nicest condition E99's I have seen.

Along with the Crawford was an envelope from the consignor who purchased the card in 1980, kinda neat.

Not nearly as nice as Sam's recent pickup of the same card, but happy to add it to the backrun. 1 more known card to go which should be pretty easy.

Jerry, Tony, and Jeff, thanks for the kind words. Collecting E94's today is definitely a look in the mirror and role up your sleeves endeavor.

Congrats on the Cobb NGO pick up DJ and good luck on closing out the run.

Awesome Sweeney pick up Val.

Congrats on the E90-3 Brown pick up Bondrus, fantastic image.

Default Found another 1 of a kind Clemente item!

Couldn't believe my eyes when this showed up in auction! Didn't even have to fight that hard for it! Only one I have ever seen.

Default 4093 career hits!

Just picked up this beauty. A 102 year old card of Arnold "Jigger" Statz. He is one of only nine players known to have amassed at least 4,000 combined hits in the major and minor leagues. The others are: Pete Rose, Ty Cobb, Ichiro Suzuki, Hank Aaron, Minnie Miñoso, Julio Franco, Derek Jeter, and Stan Musial. Not bad company I think.

I have been slowly assembling a tobacco type set, and locating a clean T332 Helmar Stamp of any player has been quite the challenge. Imagine my surprise when I popped into my local card show and saw this one at William Chappell's table. Thanks again, William!

Default And suddenly eight more …

Got a message from Bob Rice last Friday, saying he saw a bunch of Howe-stamped cards were being listed on eBay if I needed any of them. 20 minutes later, I’d purchased eight that I didn’t have.

Takes the list down to 105 possible cards that I would need to have each of the cards Howe might have had in a complete set. Of those, 13 are ones I missed when Scott Gross auctioned off the huge Goldin lot, and I know the owners of five of those. There are another five I know exist, and know the owners of three of those, but they are Cobbs, which will never fit my budget.

When I rethought the collection to go to one of each, I really never thought I’d get close to 400. Thanks to everyone here for letting me know when they see one.
