Default Small Traditions Auction pickups

Dave Thorn has a new auction site with some interesting cards and user-friendly web pages. I won the cards below last night. I think maybe collectors missed the fact the T213-2 Coupon Camnitz has Chief Bender's caption on the top border, I know a lot of collectors are interested in unique miscuts such as this, I just liked the card and it went for a good price. I also bought the E90-1 Leach variations knowing PSA had goofed and labeled the throwing pose as an E90-2.
Good luck to Dave with future auctions. I have found good bargains with some of the newer and smaller auction sites like Small Traditions and Joe's Vintage Card auctions.

I won a few lots from Dave last night and seem to win some in each of his auctions.
I like the Free shipping as well.
Joe's Vintage is also rock steady, his next auction ends Tuesday. And he too offers Free shipping.
I like the little guys....they try harder!

I still have about 50 bids placed for the next batch but I won:

1911 M116 Sporting Life Bobby Byrne PSA 8 NM-MT

Edit* I think this one fell through the cracks for the price I won... It's a pop 3 highest graded no 8.5's/9's/10's

Someone consigned a nice Pittsburgh collection to them. I picked up the two T213-1's. I sold that T215 Camnitz on ebay 4 years ago. I was going to buy it back if it stayed lower.

I would have preferred that they split the auction into two sessions that were not a continuation. I won't be bidding on the 10K plus Tiger Woods magazine card in session 2 next weekend.

It would be nice to get an invoice--anyone else got theirs yet?

BTW, +1 on Shoeless Joe's auctions being solid.

Todd invoices will be send out after this Saturdays auctions end.
Dave's software can't differentiate between the auctions that ended Saturday since he still has more lots ending this Saturday.

Thanks Jay. I vaguely remember back before the days of instant gratification.

Don't think you should call him "shoeless".... That is a different person....some may remember the problems on eBay years ago with "shoeless Joe Jackson" seller...this is not the same Joe.....

Daryl,
Nice pickup. That is one of my favorite images on an E card.... and a Mello Mint to boot!

Great to see support of Small Traditions here! I went to school with Dave and he recently got me back into the hobby. I just started consigning with him this month (mostly some lower-grade 50s cards, higher-grade 59 Topps, plus a PSA 8 Schmidt RC) and plan on continuing.

P.S., I'm new here. Thanks for having me!

Great card, Daryl. The E105 Gibson is one of my all-time favourites. I was in the early running for this card, but didn't hang in for long.

Nice pick-up.

Regards,

Richard.

Small Traditions Auction is easily the most user-friendly auction I've ever encountered. I've actually had some bad auction experiences over the last few months, but this was not one of them.

Enjoyed it. Thanks.
