Default Milwaukee Brewers

Found an interesting check on ebay. A $2,484 dollar check from the Milwaukee Brewers to the Los Angeles Dodgers. I'm used to seeing player checks and vendor checks, but thought this one was more unusual. I wonder what the check was for? Milw Brewers (2).jpg

The Brewers acquired Lance Rautzhan from the Dodgers for cash about a year earlier. Maybe the check is related to that.

The visiting teams get a cut of the gate so perhaps this may have been what it was for.

Edited to add that the Brewers were in the American League at this time so the Dodgers were not even playing Milwaukee at the time. Its hell to get old and have your brain fart all over you!!
