Default Mantle pre-print baseball?!

Hi,

Is this Mickey Mantle a pre-print stamped ball? This is something that is totally out of my wheelhouse. It looks good to me, but I have been told otherwise. Thanks for the help.

Check out the below Ebay seller (Tigerwoods2000), Matthew.

He sells all "reproduction" autographs.

Matthew, you're welcome, but I have no idea if that "Mantle" is a repro or not.

The point that I didn't make clear enough, is that those repro autographs are very "dangerous" for the hobby.

How many people have resold those repros as authentic autographs.

Great point, Chris. Those repros are scary...the baseball itself is a repro too, which I'm not sure is being conveyed in the seller's description. Just curious, how are these repro's being made?

Great questions, Andrew.

Between those baseballs and baseball cards being "aged" to look "vintage" it is scary.

The baseballs from the seller on Ebay are made with plastic centers instead of cork, drop one or clank it with anything solid it's a dead giveaway to being a modern baseball.
