Default What's the next card you're targeting?

As we head into the new year, what's the card at the top of your list? I'm hoping to get one of these

I am looking for a 1935 Goudey Ruth with the 5A back, preferably in lower grade, as it is one of four cards I need to complete a master set.

I’m on the hunt for a Lou Gehrig. Any suggestions/favorites? The DeLong Gehrig is great but probably too pricy for a nice 2. Might target the yellow 34

Default 2021 Targets

I'm targeting the following cards- T3 Cobb in a 1-2, a 1915 Cracker Jack Cobb in a 1-2, and a centered 1951 Bowman Willie Mays in a 3-5.

Default Next card?

I've always wanted a CJ Eddie Cicotte, either year. I think it's the best pose in the set, utterly cool- Trent King

I try not to target cards, as they tend to end up looking like this:

Brian (actually I like to go with the flow when collecting...a lot less stress that way)

The 3 cards at the top of my list right now are the E95 Plank, E96 Baker and Lajoie. After those I want to pick up some of the big 50's cards for my sets but I'll get to them whenever, not to worried about them.

Default Flow

I have enough on my want list that I can go with the flow and maybe the cards will find me...

I want to finish the E90-1 Kraken set minus Joe Jax. I’m close.
I want to finish E210-2 York but haven’t added one in years cuz I can’t find any.
I want to topple most of the 1934-36 Diamond Stars Master set.
I want to add another Babe Ruth.
I want to add 52 Jackie Robinson.
And oh so many more...

Signed 52T and 51B Mantle.

I'm sure I'll type the same cards I'm targeting next year, and the year after... too few of each out there LOL.

Long story. My son has joined me in passion for old cardboard. A lot of fun is now attached to this common Texas Leaguer. There aren't many out there but it is going to be fun hunting them down.

I'd also "settle" for a 1934 Matchbook Walt Kiesling or Link Lyman.

A CJ Bender...same as I was chasing last year, and the year before, and the year before that, and so on. I'm going to quit when (if) I find a decent one I can fit into my budget.

T206 Lundgren (Chicago) is the last card I need to get to 520.

I'm 48 and got my first t206 from my dad when I was 10 or 11. I'm not even sure I know how I feel about being this close to "finishing."

Astounding. Hard to imagine what it's like to come that close to 520. I also cannot help wondering what your next move will be once you own a complete set. Some hold on, some upgrade, some even sell! You have some other interesting options: go beyond 520, assimilate 207, become a back collector....

Thanks. I wonder that a little myself. I've taken some side-roads along the way, having gone in for obscure variations that nobody cares about (there's a southern leaguer whose name is printed with two variations, a little like Sharpe/Shappe or Dormer/Dopmer, that I've never seen anybody discuss), and accumulating 62 cards with back stamps, but since I hit 519 everything else has gone on hold while I wait for a semi-affordable Lundgren to come available.

Speaking of, it's time to go check eBay again...

Thanks for the good wishes Anson, If I can knock two of those out this coming year I'd be happy. The E98 Master set will be a long haul.
