Default Nagy Acquisition

For me, these three cards take me back to when I was 10 years old (30 years ago). I was raised in Grosse Ile, Michigan (Frank Nagy's hometown), and my uncle (Donald Schlaff)was a friend of Mr. Nagy. When I was 10 I was given a tour of Mr. Nagy's collection, and besides the beautiful Wagner, I remember Mr. Nagy having 3 different color variations of the 1948 Leaf Dimaggio. The blue is the one that I could never find, with the Yellow more difficult than the regular green. I know these are not expensive cards, but there are some individual cards that take you back to a different time. For me these cards were it. The great folks at Mastronet (Doug and Kevin) helped me obtain these cards.

I didn't even know there were color varations. I had only ever seen the yellow.

Glad to see you post them here Patrick but thanks even more for sharing them in person with those of us who were able to get together at the Fort Washington show yesterday!

Patrick- I've never seen the blue before and while Leafs are known for their color variations, I think that is a genuinely rare color. Nice trio of Joe D.'s I wonder if board expert Ted Zanidakis has seen the blue before.
