Default RIP Bob Watson

Scored MLB's 1,000,000th run.

If I remember correctly he was on base when an Astro hit a home run and someone in the Astros dugout yelled out for him to run as fast as he could because Dave Concepcion was about to score in the Reds game, Watson sprinter as hard as he could and scored just ahead of Concepcion for the millionth run. Watson also inadvertently broke Tim Foli’s jaw in a play at second base a year or two before that.

Dare I ask ......... is Bob Watson a distant future Hall of Famer? He did hit .295 in 19 seasons.

Watson also served many years as a coach, general manager and was an MLB executive.

I think there are a lot more deserving candidates. He was good but not top 1%, which, supposedly, is the Hall.

The three Cubans first.
