I own an Acosta from the set and purchased it from Ryan C. He explained the set in great detail to me but I am failing to come up with much on it right now. Hopefully he'll chime in.

They are cataloged as N561 in the American Card Catalog ("N" for Centeral/South American Tobacco issues, not 19th Century Tobacco).

They are also sometimes called "1931 Bigott"

Nice cards, never owned one, but I have a few photos of them.

It's a cool set. There's no one of real note in the set, but it's very rare. I like to call this guy Willie Fung.

Mark, a little more information about the Diana set can be found in Old Cardboard eNewsletter #32 (December 2006) at http://www.oldcardboard.com/eNews/enews32/eNews32.htm (see Article #2). --Lyman

Check out the link. There are 3 Venezuelan cards up for auction as we speak.

Mr. Hung! I thought he was going to be as big as Cher! What happened? Is he one of those celebrities you assume is dead or homeless but who has actually set up shop and Vegas and is making millions every year?
