Agreed. Looks okay to me too. I almost bought a 52 Topps in a KSA holder a couple years back and am kicking myself for passing it up.

All I can say is if that card sells for $19,500 then my 52T Mantle is worth way more than I could ever imagine, and it would probably get a 1.5 or 2 (at best) if I were to get it graded.

I've had very good luck with KSA, although admittedly mostly for vintage hockey and OPC cards. The reputation for leniency/neglect regarding trimming seems well-deserved from a number of graded cards I've examined. Here that isn't in question. Personally, I'v never had a problem with them authenticating fake cards.

That said, I'm kind of amazed by the price on this card. Maybe it's a good investment...I certainly don't know. But for my own collection, at some point down the chain, I'd probably either do without or cave and by a replica for aesthetic purposes and call it a day.

Default It's only half a Mantle!?

If an "A" is about 20K - that 1/2 shouldn't be more than 10!?

I am actively buying and selling vintage sports cards graded and raw. Feedback as a buyer: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=297262

I am accepting select private consignments of quality vintage cards (raw or graded) and collecting "want" lists for higher end ($1K+) vintage cards.

Insanely expensive cards coupled with bad scans is incredibly common. You even see some high end auction houses that are guilty of this.
