Default Yes, I just saw it.

And it’s a new one. Had no idea it existed.

That’s funny.

No, just a card that fits my strange collection that will sell in about seven days for a lot of money.

If you're into Multiverse theory, then it is posited that somewhere out there exists a ten-dimensional world where a T206 Cobb front comes with nine other 'backs' that are all, indeed, Cobb backs. The theoretical 'NonaCobbCobb' card is definitely on my wish list.

Default And I’m out ...

Thanks for the well wishes and all the heads-up I got when the card first hit eBay last week. Like I’ve always said, I know I won’t get them all, don’t even have a way of knowing what they all were. But now I’ve got some good scans of a card I didn’t know existed before, and can add that to the database.

I do really appreciate the messages when you all see a card with Howe’s stamp on the back. Without the help of the members of Net54, the collection wouldn’t be where it is today.

Thanks again. Stay safe and stay well.

Ed

For those of us rooting you on, what was the card? I just looked at about to end and completed T206 listings and couldn’t make the connection.

Default Now that it is over, here is the listing ...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1909-11-Hin....m46890.l49286

Didn’t know this one existed until last Sunday, but now have good scans to add to the database.

Again, thanks to everyone who gives me a heads-up when they see one of Howe’s cards. Please continue to let me know when you see them.

Take care and stay well.

Looking at the listing, you'd think Leland's would have enough class to update the blurb about their founder. Too much to ask, it appears.

Do you know anything about Howe? Was curious about the possible back story. Feel free to link another thread. I did a quick search but no joy.

Thanks for the fascinating read. I greatly enjoyed reading through those links and the T206 article(s). Called my wife at work to tell her about this. She commented that it sounds like something you would do. I also dabble in genealogy and I wondered if you had gone down that route. It looks like great fun.

Did the card sell for that much because the brown Hindu back of him is scarce or did it sell for that much because someone / some people were being pricks and jacking up the price on the OP?
