nicest 1s of these you'll find...when i cracked them out and put them into toploaders they just melted in along with the penny sleeves. all the recent tbob talk finally convince me to give them a try, slowly working toward a set hopefully.

Glad to see the McConnell went to someone on the boards. I was one of the under-bidders on that one. Congrats!

Paul: Wonderful pickup! Just in case you are not aware, an oil painting based on your postcard's photo hangs big as day in the lobby of the HOF. Saw it last month.

DmcMD, I've always wanted this Young postcard, and then last year I saw the painting in Cooperstown. Since then, I've REALLY wanted this postcard. The painting is beautiful, and it's hanging in the lobby right when you walk in. At least it was a year ago. I know they tend to move things around.

Just won this one off Ebay from one of our sponsors. Im really excited about this one because it's my first 19th Century card and the HOF player is from my hometown and rests about 4-5 miles from my house.

Love the pose on that Goudey.

Thanks Bruce. Your generosity has enabled me to collect the 6th and final color variation of Bates in the E94 set.

Don't know why I've started collecting the Fatimas, but getting a picture of Thorpe on a baseball card is nice.

Whoever had this card at one point liked the #18. In addition to the Goudey printed #18, they typed it on the front and penciled it in bubble letters on the back. Got it cheap, seller said it was trimmed and I bid accordingly, but the top and bottom edges look similar to me under magnification. It is a little short in any event. On the other hand I have a red Wyatt that is too long.....

Its a beater to be sure, but a very tough card of a HOFer who doesnt appear on many items, and it was only 20 bucks. Big thanks to Tim Newcomb for pointing this one out to me - now I can stop bugging him to trade me his!
