Default Psa grading help

I need some help PLEASE! I recently submitted a 1978 Penn Emblem Co.
George Brett patch to PSA. I bought this way back, I think out of an
advertising ad in a baseball digest. I put on the form 1978 Penn Emblem Co.
Baseball Player patch. and again on the outside of the card saver including
the No. 7. I got it back yesterday from PSA saying no Spec. info. no grade,
no holder.
I have had this happen so many times that I am wondering about my sanity.
I know now to check. I found it in the Standard Catalog on page 32 and
I checked and found that PSA had slabbed several of these in the past.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY WANT!
I called and got a service representative that said that the No. One grader
looked at it and they are not saying that its not authentic they just need
more information.
WHAT DO THEY WANT!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sandy

I would have printed out a copy of the page in the Standard Catalog, and also a scan of one of the patches that PSA has slabbed in the past, and included it w/ the submission. This is what I did for a recent SGC submission. Maybe also scan the page in the PSA pop report with the patch.

Also, if you can find where one was auctioned by a major auction house (Legendary, Lelands, etc). That would be helpful info for them. They respect the opinions of the big auction houses.

It sounds as if who ever at PSA handled the patch was unfamiliar with it-- and you have to provide them some background and evidence.

And in the PSA guy's defense, I'd never heard of this patch before

Default PSA Grading

I have now forwarded them the catalog page, their population report
and a picture of my patch with the submission Number. I hope to
hear back from them as to what they want.
Thanks for your suggestion. Since I found where they had graded several
of these I guess I assumed they had them in a data base. I pulled up
the Penn Emblem patch right now from their population report.
