Default Centering on a CSG Ruth

What do you think about this 6.5 centering?

Default Can't get past

the blue on the card clashing with the green on the holder to garner an opinion on the centering!

I am actively buying and selling vintage sports cards graded and raw. Feedback as a buyer: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=297262

I am accepting select private consignments of quality vintage cards (raw or graded) and collecting "want" lists for higher end ($1K+) vintage cards.

Maybe they're averaging the front centering grade with the back centering... most grading companies weight the front higher than the back.

While I do have some graded cards...I won't own any of those...WOW...that is got to be the ugliest slab of them all. Disappointing someone new can't capitalize...YUCK.

Their website says a card has to be 75/25 or better to get an overall 6. So first of all they did not follow their stated grading standards on this card.

As for the 6.5 centering subgrade, what does that mean? Assuming the scale goes from 1 to 10, I would think this card is below average, so less than 5?

But they could have a scale where 1 and 2 are miscuts and diamond cuts, 3 and 4 are off-center, and so the "normal " scale starts at 5.

In any event, I would have expected the centering grade for this card to be less than 6, based on their stated minimum of 75/25. Likewise, I would think 70/30 centering would be a 7 (again their stated minimum) and then up from there.

So, bottom line is I am clueless. I can't make sense of it.

Talk about completely dropping the ball. The 'E' on the scoreboard is blinking, because that slab is an error. The balance is 99.99% science, and just .01% art. A hard pass for me.
