No Longer For Sale 1924-25 Aguilitas Segundas - Biz Mackey HOF RC (SGC 10) MUST SEE!!

Up for sale tonight is an extremely scarce 1924-25 Aguilitas Segundas - Biz Mackey HOF Rookie Card which has been graded an SGC 10 by the strict graders at Sportscard Guaranty Company, the industry leader in third-party grading. The same card in an SGC 30 grade with inferior centering sold in the Spring of this year in Hake's Auction for $15,600.

The key thing to consider with this card is what looks to be significant paper loss on the front is really some type of chemical or liquid which came in contact with this card, probably long ago, and caused the original gloss from the real photo portion of the card to dissolve in some places. Underneath the missing gloss, the font of the player's name and photo background are light but still present, thus ensuring that the issue is not paper loss at all. Most importantly, the bold, central image and player's name are not affected at all. I am not sure if SGC gave the grade because they believed the problem to be paper loss or if the missing gloss would also bring it down to an SGC 10. I feel comfortable in saying that given the card's four sharp corners, a perfect back and near perfect centering, this card would probably grade an SGC 80 or better if not for the surface issue.

Thus, this represents a rare opportunity for a HOF or Negro League collector to pick up one very tough Rookie Card at a bargain price. I am asking $No Longer For Sale on this one and will be consigning it to Hake's next Auction if it does not sell by tomorrow evening at this time.
