Default Ebay 'Marked as Read' Malfunction

Anybody else experiencing this? Sorry, for the relatively long read (as it may have been handled in a simple sentence or two??)...

When viewing cards on ebay (on my Mac, but the same problem is probably happening on PC's too) I command-click on each item to open it in a new tab/window, then I can close that link. This, in effect, marks each of those listings as read, so the next time I do the same search, the cards I have already seen are in red and the new, unseen listings are in blue. Makes it simple to know what I've already looked at, and it's an invaluable tool.

Lately, two things have begun to happen:

First, command-click no longer opens a new tab/window. It 'refuses' to do so, which is plainly ridiculous. If I command-click the listing, it opens it in the very window I am in, so then I have to hit the back arrow time and time again. For instance, say a couple of auctions are ending soon and I want them to be open in separate tabs for easy navigation. I can no longer do it quickly and easily, as it now becomes a long and involved process, creating new tabs, etc. In life, it's not a big problem. I understand that, but it is maddening!

And second, the items I have already viewed do not turn red, they all remain blue on return visits. I have to begin the process again from the start each and every time I visit ebay. It is no longer readily apparent which cards I have already viewed.

Is anyone else having these same problems? It seems to be ebay specific, like they coded their site to do this, which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. If I command-click anywhere else (like here on net54), it opens a new tab/window as it has always done. The only change is on ebay. I've searched out the problem in general, and none of the proscribed steps have worked to specifically correct the occurrence on ebay. It seems to ONLY BE happening on ebay. (On a side note, the command-click does, in fact, work if I am looking at an auction and decide to click the 'see other items' link. It readily opens that in a new tab/window. Huh???)

Anyone have any insight?? Any solutions to get things back to normal?? Doctor Doctor, gimme the news, I got a bad case of losing view(s)...

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

Thanks for the link, Tim. Unfortunately, I've tried that method a gazillion times in the last week (clicking and unclicking the specific feature mentioned), but still nothing changes. (When I had the issue awhile back, that solution worked beautifully.) It seems to only be an ebay thing and it's driving me bonkers. I can't find anything that changes the situation.
