I'm not a fan of slabs to begin with, but this design is really stupid.

Not a very pretty presentation that's for sure. I would ask them to redo it, and this time, do it correctly. PSA does a great job on pins. They have done many for me. Have them do it like PSA does. It's not brain surgery.

I agree that the PSA design for pins is visually appealing. I just happened to see this Meyers P2 pin on EBAY......This is how I display my pins

While I generally like PSA holders a lot, this leaves something to be desired.

What in the world were they drinking to slab something in a holder that makes it so visually unappealing.

THOSE ARE BAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question ?........how many pack collectors like their stuff encapsulated ?

I do not, I have some 61's the year that I was born.
67-68-70-72 and 74.....the memory of collecting when
I was a kid ...uh ....being in a holder just doesnt
give me the same ambience.

Well, my problem with psa is on smaller vintage cards from the teens 20's ect, the plastic around the card inside the capsule tends to wrinkle & looks really crappy unless you look at it from the right angle, I like sgc because they dont give this problem they use a black boarder around the card that wont wrinkle & they grade just about anything, The only problem with them is sometimes the leave to much of a gap around the corners, Global HAs its problems as well, & I agree with the guy with the old packs I dont understand why you would encapsulate a pack, I know if I had a pack of 52 topps Im opening that sucker! I think SGC is your best bet

I think the most hideous holders are the GAI Walmart plastic packaging capsules. I'm not sure who used the Walmart phrase first but they were right on the money about that packaging style.

Dan, the nice part about encapsulating the unopened packs from 30 or 40 years ago is that you wont be as tempted to get the gum out of the packs if it's encapsulated, especially with that Walmart packaging.
