Does anyone in here own the DVD, "When It Was A Game"?

If so, is it a good video?

Thanks.

Cy

It's a wonderful 3 DVD set comprising "home movies" filmed by ballplayers.

I've got the first two.Not much dialogue from the players. Most is home movie type, but great footage, especially the early color stuff. Even the kids seem to like it.

that I recall footage being somewhat repeated between WIWAG 1 and the 2 subsequent films. Some of the same people are interviewed as in Ken Burns "Baseball" saying some of the same things. There is more of a home movies feel than a lot of "Ken Burns Baseball", but I'd say, WIWAG is best as a supplement to Ken Burns Baseball, or an alternative if you can't afford the Burns documentary.

The color is unfrigging believable. Makes you feel you are there at the ball park. Two thumbs up!
