Default Large Bill Russell personal collection pulled from Hunt Auction

Did anyone else notice that over a Hundred lots of Bill Russell 's items have been pulled from Hunt's? Seems clear that Bill wanted the items converted to cash. But his estate thought otherwise.

Hunt pulled them because they felt it was not the appropriate time to sell them I guess.

If the consignor wanted top return, this is the absolute top of the mark as for time to sell them honestly. I always think its a bit disgusting to pile on ebay as soon as someone passes away, but the prices always go insane no matter the subject.

It always happens like that and the bigger the name, the more listings there are that suddenly appear.

"Words cannot express our profound sadness of the passing of Bill Russell. Working with Bill was one of the greatest honors of my life. The grace from this difficult time is knowing that Bill's lifetime devotion to helping others will be justly celebrated. Out of respect for Bill's passing we will be suspending the offering of the remaining items from his personal collection in our August auction. Bill Russell stands as one of the greatest champions in the history of sport and a towering figure within the Civil Rights movement. He was also a generous, kind, and intellectual man whose sense of humor was on point. My deepest personal sympathies go out to Bill's wife Jeannine, his family and friends, and his millions of fans all over the globe. I still owe you another box of cookies Bill... Rest easy #6."

This was from an email I received from Hunt Auctions.
