Default Joey Amalfitano retires at 87

He was in a Giants uniform when Mays made the catch, he was in a Dodgers uniform the day Kirk Gibson homered off of Eck. 67 years in baseball known as one of the nicest, smartest, greatest story tellers in the game. A great mentor and a true baseball man. Enjoy your retirement Mr. A and thank you for your contribution to the greatest game on earth.

The man saw a LOT of ballgames. I wish him well in retirement.

For some reason I am reminded of the character in the Field of Dreams book (who did not appear in the movie), the purported Oldest Living Chicago Cub.
