Question Question Most True 52 Mantle Reprint

I will likely never be able to afford a 52 Mantle Original Topps card, however I am lucky enough to own all the rest of them including the 51 Bowman.

so I thought it might be fun to obtain the most true to form, first real reprint of the 52 Mantle. So my question is...

When did Topps First reprint this card in it's original type card stock and all it's glory? I know there have been many reprints over the years, but would like to obtain the first 2nd printing if you will for my collection.

Any recommendations or historians that would know this?

David

The only one I can say would be first reprint would be the Topps 52 Reprint set that came out in 1983. They are standard size cards though and not the oversized original.

Best or closest I can see to what you are looking for.

I've seen a few PSA 9s that are fakes, even though they've been slabbed. Beware.

The 1983 was the first Topps made reprint as others have said.

However, no Topps made reprint meets the criteria in the OP, specifying original type card stock. Some of the unofficial reprints/fakes will come closer to actually looking like one.
