anyone notice the supply of american caramel cards at the national? Specifically some of the 1920s issues like the E120s and E121s? Given recent prices of those were there a fair amount available and if so any decent prices? thanks

what about earlier years like E98 and E91

Fair amount? No. There were more of these cards than I've seen before at a show but they were still relatively rare. On the whole, there were fewer E120's than E121's but not by much. In e120,I saw, among other things, a nice Ruth in ex and a similarly nice Sisler. The prices in both sets were higher than they would have been a year ago but all seemed reasonable. Of course, almost all the cards that I saw were ungraded so they were not going to command the strong prices we've been seeing on ebay.

basic deficiency of E120 and e121. I did pick up an E121 Series of 120 Miller Huggins. Quite nice.

Sorry to go OT, but, did anyone see any e77 (Am. Caramel boxers) ???
They literally have fallen off the face of collecting in the past year or so.

I repeat this post below from another thread as it seems to apply here as well.

I've been trying to build an E120 set for some time. I have no idea where they would rate in the hierarchy of E-card rarity, perhaps not very high. It's a bit of an apples and oranges comparison though since many E-card issues are comprised of 25 or 30 cards, whereby E120 consists of 240. In any case, the recent price run-up appears to have drawn more of them out. Several dealers at the National had some, at least more than I've ever seen at Ft. Washington.

I thought that there was a decent amount of caramel cards at the national. Tons of e90-1 caramels. Granted all the cards were going for pretty high prices, but all in all I thought there was a decent amount to be had if you were willing to pay the ticket price. There were some good deals to be had, but boy did you have to look for them.

Nice assortment of caramels but the prices were on the high side. I did manage to get a rather nice E95 Leach for $25, an SGC 20 E101 Kleinow for $80 and my personal favorite, an E98 "Miner Brown" with the slightly scarcer green background for about $140. Otherwise, prices seemed to be above normal ebay levels, even on Sunday.

yes, I thought that the e-90's were surprisingly available. I was looking for a particular example, a Leever, and was able to find one at 3 different tables. There could have been more. Again, there were more e120's for sale than I can remember having seen at any show. But only a few dealers had them and those dealers had only a few. There were more W573's than I'd ever seen before, too.

PSA 7 and PSA 8 (SGC 84 and 88-92)

E 93,E 94, E 95 E 97 and E 98

PSA 5 and above E 96, E 99, E 100 and E 107

E 145 Cracker Jack Federal League PSA 8 and PSA 9

E 300 Plows PSA 7 and PSA 8

Also we are still looking for T 208 and T 216 in PSA 6 and above

Our question is how many cards did anyone see at this year's national in the aforementioned condition?

Please let us know us know...better still we'd be interested to know who was selling said cards.
