For all you Yankee haters Tony Kubek was named the recipient of the Ford Frick award. Here comes another round of bashings!

Not a Yankee hater by any means, my summer highlight was my first trip to Yankee Stadium, but my sentimental pick was former Reds lefty and announcer Joe Nuxhall. Joe was on the air from the time I first started following the Reds back in '67 and had that "down home" feel that was very much appreciated by Reds fans.

Congrats to Kubek and hopefully Nuxhall will get in sometime in the future.

Well he flies under the radar in America because he did Blue Jay games, but I really think Tom Cheek deserves it.

He did every Jay game in their history until he was diagnosed with cancer. He's also on the Jays wall of excellence.

As someone that had listened to Marty and Joe do Reds games ever since I was a kid I would have really liked to have seen Joe Nuxhall get in, but just like with the Reds there's always next year...
