Default Incredible 1908 3d Print/Etching? Of two young boys playing Ball

I found this after it was just posted on eBay and thought it looked wonderful. It Just arrived in my hands and I'm even more in love with it. The 3d effect is mouth dropping. The quality in general is superb. I've tried looking up the company Woodward and Tiernan based out of St. Louis trying to find anything similar and found nothing. Ive tried to show the 3d effect as best I could In photo form with the catchers glove.

Would love you all's thoughts and if anyone has something similar I would love to see it!

Default Two thoughts originally

but after seeing the last picture from the back - simply paper embossing/debossing done with a mold and pressing. There are some 1910's postcards that were done in that style featuring baseball and a myriad of other subjects. The FRONT does have a more interesting "look" than the generic examples usually encountered.
Similar production can be observed on a small set of 1890's store cabinets featuring women (what else :-)) where certain elements "puff-out" and many early cigarbox labels were embossed. Unsure if it was a different process but same idea. I'll try and post a pic. of a low grade store card exhibiting the same effect I have somewhere......

The best part of your example is that it does something for you. Not a lot of cash value but finding something you love is priceless.

BTW - It's PRINTED not a photograph.

no guarantees whether written or implied

Tyvm for all the info! Very appreciated. And of course shop owners in the 1890s were a clever bunch, haha.
I’m a bit shocked after reading you say it’s printed. I wish I could take a better quality photo. But damn is it very very detailed and clear. Especially the batters face.

Default please keep in mind

you have it in hand (easy to tell if it's a photo or not if there's any print dotting under magnification.....) and according to my wife - the amount of times I'm right about something - well you know how that goes :-)

in the close up you can see the print "texture" plus the "Woodward & Tiernan Printing Company" tends to lend credence to it being printed.

I should've been more clear with my confusion. Didn't this print Originate from a photograph? Also isn't a Print technically a photograph if it originated from one? Or I guess it would be a Photographic print?

I did know this wasn't just a photograph taken and 3d shaping pressed into it, there are many features that don't look like real life if that makes sense. Definitely touched up and edited.

The hyper realism while being a high quality print at this same time is very confusing to me.
