I'm not sure if these are entirely appropriate for this thread, but I think these Goudey's are beautiful.

Prewar, so appropriate in my book, but I also hear that Sassacus played a mean third base for the Cleveland Guardians.

Nice pick ups so far,

I added a few Gehrig’s. They are all dupes, but you can’t go wrong adding them

Some serious pickups already this month. Congrats all. I just picked these two up for my T3 set (about 4-5 shy of complete now). And off eBay no less

PS- the Baker is not Baker, it’s Jack Barry. Unfortunate, but a necessary part of the set.

Quality control, if there was such a thing in those days, really blew that one, and I bet 'Old Home Run' was pissed, although in fairness Jack was part of Connie Mack's 'Million Dollar Infield'.

It's been at least 4 years of searching for a nice example and wow what a specimen. Once I receive this card in the mail it's off to SGC. I'm extremely happy to add this card to my collection.

Great looking Obak, congrats on the pick up.

Thanks, Phil! Recently I've been wanting to get some T206 cards. But I fear getting into them due to the cost. Obak's are much easier on the wallet plus I think they look nicer even though they're minor league cards.

Seeing as how you're in Vancouver (I'm in Victoria) I thought you might like to see my Van and Vic Obak subsets.

Nice cards, David! I hope to pick up some more Vancouver Obak's in the near future, and possibly make a run for the subset! Thanks for posting!

Default 1913 T200 Fatima Philadelphia Americans (A's) SGC 4

Excited to snag this beautiful copy of the 1913 World Champion Philadelphia A's. The "$100,000 infield" was dubbed by historian Bill James, the best infield of all time and included HOF'ers Eddie Collins, Frank "Home Run" Baker and Jack Barry. Also, pictured are HOF pitchers Chief Bender and Eddie Plank. Coached by HOF manager Connie Mack.

Well. You can be justifiably proud of your Charlie Ferguson. What a tragedy. Beautiful card.

My pleasure Andy, for those that might not be aware Andy is an inspirational collector of the old school variety, if you've never visited his T296 backstamp website it's something to behold.

And I 100% blame Andy for starting me on the E98 Master rabbit hole.
