Default Collector Focus site

I love the site and use it to organize my collection. That said, it has reached the point where there are an overwhelming number of ads that seem to pop up constantly and when navigating the site, sometimes require closing before proceeding. Occasionally some set off a security alarm as well. Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust settings to eliminate some of this?

If you're using Firefox for your browser, download the ublock origin extension. It will prevent most pop ups and/or ads with trackers

Yea.. Ublock or another adblock is really a requirement to browse the modern day internet. You read articles on sites and every other sentence is in between a 2 inch banner ad. Or a shady redirect or pop up scam. It's become unbearable. If you are on chrome, you can use the chrome web store to find uBlock easily.

They do not block n54 advertisers!

Ad blockers are great for popups and redirects. Another thing you can do is that browsers and systems are starting to build in manual based blockers that the program remembers.

For example, on iOS 18 you can now tap reader > hide distractions > tap the banner ads, and Safari will remember you blocked these ads on this page and hide them from your view when you go to the same site in any tab later. Getting easier to block this crap without additional software or having to know what one is doing to browse safer.
