His television series namesake on the first televised western series only hopped along until 1972.

A few of us on the forum probably saw more of the 105 television cowboy episodes than the buckeye on the gridiron in the early 50s.

One of my favorite pieces is a game worn Yankees jersey that had Hop's name in it, then was re-numbered with #7.
So I have a real Hop "game used" jersey.
