Default T206 Stat Card (tm)

Posted By: Tom Zappala

Being an avid collector of T206 cards over the last twenty years, I have decided to launch a new card that we have designed and manufactured . It is the T206 Stat Card (tm). We all know that the t206 collection is the most desirable of all, but have you ever wondered about the players pictured in you card?

Now you can learn about general player stats and background info on any player. Each card along with the vital player stats also features a little narrative about the player. Was Scoops Carey any good? Why is Lena Blackburne famous? Each card comes in its own top loader and can actually be catalogued with the actual card. Now you will know a little something about the player.

Email me and I will be happy to send you prices and more info on the Stat Card. Thanks for your time. Our web site t206stacard.com will up and running in the next week.

Cool idea. But can you put some type of indicator on the fronts, to prevent scammers from disecting them in the distant future, please?

So do you have all the players from the set or just a few?

And do you really want almost a $1 a card LOL??

And if you do have all the cards and players and you do want a $1 a card.

Then personally I would rather spend my $500 bucks or so on a genuine T206 card in great shape or buy a beater of Cobb etc. Certainly more value in that purchase.I think most would agree?

I think youre better off just putting a set together for $19.99 or so in a nice little box then perhaps you have something. But card by card at a buck a shot for info that most folks can get themselves via the web might be a hard sell. IMO

...analysis, but for about six months my website has been offering links to baseball-reference.com page for the first portion of the T206 set in alphabetical order. I have never completed doing it, i.e., linking the rest of the set's players, in large part because no one has ever said, "Hey, great idea," or "Why don't you add more links to stats?" I have an informal poll on the front page of my website, and I get a half dozen or so hits for "More Signed Cards" or "More T206 Cards" per week. I've never gotten a hit on "More Player Bio Info".

While I think the pricing is off, I think it would be neat to have the information all in one place, particularly virtually.

But I do think Wonka has a good point regarding pricing.

Now, if you also add a group of established players that never had T206s to the checklist, along with perhaps a Rookies and HOF subsets, you REALLY have something! Other modern features that would be fun additions to the set would be league leaders and one of my faves - Multi-player cards! like Honus and his double-play counterpart, or a Tinker-Evers-Chance pose from the not-yet invented All-Star Game.

now I'm thinking!

very honestly though, good luck with the venture. sounds like a neat idea.
