Default 1958 Topps #458 All-Star (Real or Fake)

My uncle is a big Mickey Mantle fan and I wanted to buy a #458 All Star, for his upcoming birthday. I noticed a piece for sale and wanted the forums opin. as to whether its authentic or not. I know next to nothing about vintage cards, so any help you could give me would be appreciated.

MINTACULAR is right. The card is fake. The white border is way too bright, and the first thing I noticed.

By a PSA example... Card is triple printed and easy to find... For a little over 100 dollars you can get a nice example with good eye appeal... I think I have one for you if interested.
It's not graded but guarrented authentic and unaltered.

Scott is right,

Many people (including myself) are not the biggest fan of grading companies. However, for beginners it is the safest route out there.

This is 100% a poorly made copy of likely the least expensive Mantle other than the 68' game card. The real card is a great selection for a gift and a perfect target for your price range.

If you're going blind on ebay, go for a graded copy. If you want to go ungraded place a post that you are looking for one on the BST page and I am sure many of the members can get you a good one very affordably. I would bet I have at least 4 personally, its a common one to just run across.
