Default PSA grades

Is it possible to have a PSA graded item re-graded? Compared to recent auctions, may graded item seems to be graded lower than it should be.

Yes, you can pay for a 'review' in it's current slab or you can crack the slab and resubmit it 'raw'.

thanks for the information. I should have been more specific, the item I'm considering is an autographed baseball.

Easier, probably cheaper, and definitely more accurate to just break it out of the current case (in this case a cube) and resubmit it.

I was told by a collector that the ball is someway marked (blue light) when it's graded.

PSA says when they authenticate an item that it is marked with an invisible ident.
Show pictures. Always best to have pictures.
But I would not crack. Review is offered for a reason. But lets be honest I don't have a clue how or why they assign a number grade to a signature. But if you are saying yours got a 9 and a similar got a 10.....good luck.

A 10 signed ball with a bic pen on a ball signed in the last 10-15 years will continue to fade and disappear over time. Enjoy your MINT ball without a signature, LOL only balls from the 1980's and early 90's hold a bold pen signature.

Have you had bad experience with Roml balls?

Very well may be with the new Manfred Mann balls. I honestly don't have any. I was referring to the Selig MLB balls. Seems like all of mine fade to dust after time, with or without sunlight.

The older NL & AL balls never seem to have that problem without sunlight and have very little impact in full/partial sunlight for mine.

Best not to grade with corrupt companies. Re-grading will likely do nothing, other than to put more money in PSA's pocket.
